Review of Teva Women's X-1 Control Oxfords

Having owned a similar pair of Teva shoes (women's mountain running shoes) that had a heavenly soft, cushiony footbed, I recently bought the X-1 Control in a half-size larger because my previous pair was too tightin the toe areas (I had to stretch them a lot). Still the toe areas are too narrow and low, so I'll have to stretch these too. I buy all my shoes primarily for comfort, so it really irks me when I have to stretch or break in any shoes that were purportedly made for comfort.

My Teva sandals are all wonderful and fit comfortably, and have lasted for many years, but I've had problems with all the Teva closed shoes due to the toes being too tight, and in some cases being unwearable due to the very stiff toe areas that could not be stretched because they were made of hard rubbery material. I do not have wide feet; my usual size is medium width in most shoes.

I don't understand why a top shoe manufacturer that says it designs for comfort continues making closed shoes that are too narrow all around the the toe area (tops and sides of toes).
